Weaving possibilities into reality

Support women entrepreneurs and preserve native communities

One Thread Collective is more than a brand.

As a nonprofit social enterprise, we put the Indigenous artisans who make our products at the epicenter of our business model.

We strive to elevate and empower women entrepreneurs in vulnerable communities to create the kind of lasting grassroots change that benefits entire communities and regions.

Our Community

We partner with more than 100 Wayúu Indigenous weavers from remote villages in Colombia to build strong and sustainable communities.

Our programs include entrepreneurship, leadership training, reading literacy, personal finance, and community-designed project management.

Style that makes a statement.

Our mochilas and accessories are handwoven by Wayúu women artisans from La Guajira, Colombia.

Their weaving traditions date back hundreds of years— creating a collective thread that links our global past, present and future.

100% of profits are reinvested back into community programs.

Know your Impact

Economic Empowerment

We guarantee fair wages and cover all expenses so no artisan ever has to choose between feeding her children and buying yarn.

Educational Workshops

We fund in-community weaving workshops and sponsor a 10-month leadership and entrepreneurship school for the artisans run by our partners at Fundación Talento Colectivo.

Community Projects

10% of each purchase goes towards seed funding for community-led projects designed and governed by the artisans themselves.
